The CVS Caremark summer internship program in Northern Illinois is located at our Northbrook, IL operation center and our Bannockburn, IL facility. Our operation center in Northbrook, IL houses all of the corporate functions of our business including, Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Legal, Sales, and Corporate Compliance. Our 10 story Northbrook facility has over 1,000 of our employees as well as a full fitness center and an on site cafeteria. The facility is located just 25 miles outside of the city of Chicago and is easily accessible from all of the Chicago suburbs, as well as from the city.

Our Bannockburn facility is just 7 miles north from our Northbrook facility and houses our IT departments. The Bannockburn facility also has an on site cafeteria.

Potential internship programs will be offered in the areas of IT, Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Legal, Sales, and Corporate Compliance.

What will I be doing?

Interns generally work 40 hours per week for approximately 10 weeks, in a supportive learning environment, working closely with his/her supervisor on specific projects for the department.

The internship program contains other great activities to help you become familiar with CVS Caremark, the corporate environment and prepare you for the future including:

• A day one orientation including presentations, a tour of the facility, lunch with fellow interns and program coordinators and a 1x1 session with your intern leader
• Networking opportunities with senior-level management through career "brown bag" sessions
• Mentoring sessions with former interns who are excelling as successful CVS Caremark employees
• A full day rotation in a different department in order to gain exposure to business units outside of your designated area
• Developmental courses including "Effective Interviewing Techniques"
• Fun and interactive teambuilding activities

Who is eligible for the internship program?

Students eligible for the corporate internship program must meet the following criteria:

• Enrolled in an accredited degree granting institution pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate degree
• Available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, for the duration of the program (approximately 10 weeks)
• Submit completed application by the deadline
• Pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check
• Have local housing for length of summer intern program
• Have strong leadership and communication skills and have the ability to work effectively in a team, as demonstrated with involvement in extracurricular activities
