The CVS Caremark summer internship program in Texas will be located in our Irving, TX operation center and our Richardson, TX facility. Our operation center in Irving, TX houses all of the corporate functions of our business including, Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Legal, Sales, and Corporate Compliance. Our 12 story Irving facility has just under 1,000 of our employees, a full state of the art fitness center, as well as an on site cafeteria. This facility is located right outside of the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and is a mere 15-20 minutes from the airport. It's close to great restaurants, shopping and hotels.Our Richardson facility is 22 miles northeast of our Irving facility and houses our IT departments.
Potential internship programs will be offered in the areas of IT, Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Legal, Sales, and Corporate Compliance.
What will I be doing?
Interns generally work 40 hours per week for approximately 10 weeks, in a supportive learning environment, working closely with his/her supervisor on specific projects for the department.The internship program contains other great activities to help you become familiar with CVS Caremark, the corporate environment and prepare you for the future including:
- A day one orientation including presentations, a tour of the facility, lunch with fellow interns and program coordinators and a 1x1 session with your intern leader
- Networking opportunities with senior-level management through career "brown bag" sessions
- Mentoring sessions with former interns who are excelling as successful CVS Caremark employees
- A full day rotation in a different department in order to gain exposure to business units outside of your designated area
- Developmental courses including "Effective Interviewing Techniques"
- Fun and interactive teambuilding activities
Who is eligible for the internship program?
Students eligible for the corporate internship program must meet the following criteria:- Enrolled in an accredited degree granting institution pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate degree
- Available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, for the duration of the program (approximately 10 weeks)
- Submit completed application by the deadline
- Pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check
- Have local housing for length of summer intern program
- Have strong leadership and communication skills and have the ability to work effectively in a team, as demonstrated with involvement in extracurricular activities
