The CVS Caremark Corporate Summer Internship Program in Arizona is located at our Scottsdale Operation Center and other neighboring Scottsdale locations. The Scottsdale Operation Center houses many of the corporate functions of our business, including Human Resources, Marketing, Corporate Communications, Finance, Legal, Sales, and Corporate Compliance. Home to more than 2,000 colleagues, the Scottsdale Facility is located only minutes away from fine dining, high-end shopping, five-star resorts and world-class golf. This Operation Center has a full fitness center that includes a pool and an on-site cafeteria.
What will I be doing?
Interns generally work 40 hours per week for approximately 10 weeks, in a supportive learning environment, working closely with their supervisor on specific projects for the department.
The Corporate Internship Program includes other great activities to help you become familiar with
CVS Caremark, the corporate environment and prepare you for the future, including:
- a day-one orientation including presentations, a tour of the facility, lunch with fellow Interns and Program Coordinators, and a one-on-one session with your Intern Leader;
- networking opportunities with senior-level management through career path discussion sessions;
- mentoring sessions with former Interns who are excelling as successful CVS Caremark colleagues;
- a full-day rotation in a different department in order to gain exposure to business units outside of your designated area;
- developmental courses including "Effective Interviewing Techniques";
- fun and interactive teambuilding activities;
- exposure to the various field operational facilities with tours of our Mail Service, Specialty, and Retail Pharmacies; and exposure to various full-time job opportunities throughout the organization in weekly meetings with our corporate recruiters.
Who is eligible for the Internship Program?
Students eligible for the Corporate Internship Program must meet the following criteria:
- Entering their Junior or Senior year in the upcoming Fall semester, or attending Graduate School at an accredited college or university
- Maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Study in a program applicable to the internships available
- Available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, for the duration of the program (approximately 10 weeks)
- Submit completed application by the deadline
- Pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check
- Have local housing for length of Summer Intern Program
- Have strong leadership and communication skills and have the ability to work effectively as part of a team, as demonstrated with involvement in extracurricular activities
