
CVS/pharmacy Retail Internships
At CVS/pharmacy, we are interested in working with you to develop your business and leadership skills and to help you reach your career goals. We are an organization committed to the professional growth of our members and offer ample opportunity for our co-op and intern students to learn firsthand about career paths and success at CVS.Program Highlights
(Positions are only available in NY, MA, RI, CT, NH, and ME)Flexibility - With over 750 stores in the area, you can choose to work close to school or home! Plus, our programs are offered in both full and part time periods for 3, 4, or 6 months on a flexible schedule.
Fun - You will meet students from other schools in the program, participate in joint activities, and communicate via web discussion forums on a regular basis. We offer prizes and recognition awards to our students each program period!
Function - Students in all programs will participate in aspects of our official Store Management Development program and training as well as be involved in out of store learning opportunities.
- Learn how to operate a store from a high level perspective while also having an impact on daily store business, including pharmacy
- Be mentored by the Store Manager and/or Training Store Manager while gaining supervisory experience with other store staff
- Spend monthly travel days with the District Manager learning how s/he manages a million dollar or more business for their region
- Participate in region and district meetings
- Gain valuable professional and personal skills and advice from regional leaders in Human Resources, Loss Prevention, Training and Development, and Pharmacy in student focused workshop settings
- Be exposed to other aspects of the business including the corporate office and warehouse/distribution center operations
- Develop a personal comprehensive project and presentation on a business topic of your choice
- Take advantage of opportunities to meet and make connections with both field and corporate managers and executives
- Candidates must be enrolled as a full time or part time student in a 4 year traditional college/university or a 2 year community college. Students of Junior and Senior standing are preferred
- Candidates must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above
- Candidates should possess leadership qualities and skills and be excited about a potential career in management and retail. All majors will be considered
- Candidates must pass a background check and drug test prior to hiring and being officially accepted into the program
- Candidates should be U.S. citizens or Permanent Residents able to work in the United States with no restrictions
